Service Technician - Mandeville, LA
Responsibilities
This individual is responsible for performing maintenance and repair of heavy-duty construction equipment and on-road trucks involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. These repairs and preventive procedures consist of complete component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning component procedures in accordance with the equipment type to maintain equipment in good working condition for rental. This individual will also assist with the pickup and delivery of equipment, trucks and parts as well as maintain parts inventory levels as needed for service tasks.
Qualifications
- General knowledge of the mechanical workings of trucks and heavy-duty equipment; mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems experience required
- Current valid driver’s license, CDL preferred or must be willing to obtain
- Computer skills for maintaining paperwork/electronic documentation of maintenance history and work orders on equipment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have a willingness and ability to learn
- Must be able to work some weekends and evenings occasionally
