Fort Smith Location Showcases Scott Equipment’s Teamwork, Efficiency
At Scott Equipment’s Fort Smith location, it’s all about working as a team. This was especially true for salesman David Lee and his coworkers when given the task of finding a wheel loader for Square Rock, Inc., of Waldron, Ark.
Howard Hattabaugh of Square Rock, a lumber and sawmill company, called Lee looking for a used wheel loader to keep up with their growing business. And he needed it yesterday. The newer machines at Scott were just outside Hattabaugh’s initial price range, so Lee searched outside their inventory and found the Case 621 wheel loader with grapple that Hattabaugh was looking for. Lee called in the help of his team to get the equipment in as quickly and economically as possible.
Jeremy Daniel, director of used equipment for Scott, provided the wheel loader at a great price point. “This was a total team effort,” said Lee, who is in his third year working with Scott Equipment. “It took all four of us to make this deal happen, and I am proud to be part of this team and to work under trusting and helpful management.”
Lee then collaborated with Patrick Staab of Scott Financial Services, LLC, to provide financing for Square Rock to assist with their purchase, a process Lee finds smooth and helpful for both employees and customers. “I can tell Scott Financing exactly what the client needs and they get right back to me so I can make the pitch quickly to help the client make their decision,” said Lee.
Square Rock already has one of the largest capacities in the area and they are expanding, making the efficient purchase of equipment vital to their continued success.
“It’s hard to find a good used wheel loader, and it had been a long time since I bought any equipment,” explained Hattabaugh. “But I am well pleased with the loader, the service from the Fort Smith store, and the competitive interest rates with Scott Financial that we used for the purchase.”
